How to Maintain Your Summer Glow - Year Round

I should have titled this “How to Maintain Your Summer Glow, Head to Toe” because really, that’s the goal. The cold seasons are filled with beautifully colored leaves, apple cider, cuddles, oh, and dry skin. Unfortunately, cold air doesn’t hold water molecules as well as hot air - making us all prone to dryness! Although you can’t change the weather, you can change your beauty routine. Here you will find plenty of rich products to swap your lightweight summer routine with.

FACE: Weleda Skin Food

You can apply this insanely rich cream to anywhere you’d like, during the fall/winter months, I recommend your face being one of those places. I use a pea sized amount and I heat it up in my fingertips, then massage it into my face. Don’t be intimidated by the thickness of this cream! It is a must have for plump and hydrated skin.

FACE: Kora Organics Noni Glow

This Kora Organics face oil is definitely a splurge item - luckily, there is a smaller more affordable size available. If you purchase the mini, it’s a safe bet you’ll be back to buy the full size. This oil glides on smoothly and is absorbed just enough for the skin to be hydrated while leaving behind a non-greasy shimmer to the skin - resulting in hydrated, brightened, and more youthful looking skin.

BODY: Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Dry Body Oil

To put it simply, this is just the oil version of the classic and reliable Creme de Corps! A common downside to using body oils is the slippery feeling left behind. That is the beauty of a dry oil - no slippery feeling! As with any body moisturizer, I prefer to apply this right out of the shower for best results and maximum absorption.

BODY: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula

This is my “always in the cabinet” product. I cannot emphasize how soft this makes my skin - I’m talking baby smooth. Pro-Tip: After a hot shower and shave, lather up your legs with this heavenly scented lotion, smack on a pair of leggings to really press it into your skin, and wake up with the softest skin you’ve ever had.

BODY + SENSITIVE AREAS: Fur Oil

YUP, you read that right! Fur oil. This oil was specifically designed to soften both skin and hair in areas where the hair tends to grow in more coarse (e.g. armpits, arms, legs, and pubic area!). The formula is quickly absorbed and the scent is mild. An oil that hydrates, fights razor irritation and in-growns all while softening my skin and hair? Yes pleaaaseee.
